Ben Julian
Founder, Head Coach
Ben is professionally trained to lead and supervise clients in the outdoors, ensuring their safety whilst teaching skills and techniques relevant to the activity being undertaken. Ben specialises in coaching many different adventure sports (water & land) along with outdoor education activities. In addition to coaching Ben also specialises in delivering instructor training, sharing his many years of experience with a new generation of leaders.
Ben currently works at King Edward VI, King’s Norton School for Boys as the Head of Outdoor Education and Educational Visit Co-ordinator (EVC). Ben has designed a bespoke and progressive outdoor adventure programme designed to impart core life skills in the students by having fun outside of the classroom. Engaging in the wide spectrum of experiences available provides opportunities for students to participate in new and exciting activities and to develop skills imperative for adulthood. Using his own personal experience of creating adaptive and accessible outdoor programmes, Ben consults both primary and secondary schools on their own implementation of learning outside the classroom encounters.
Although we are primarily based in the Midlands, we are prepared to travel to train people in the outdoors and is interested in working with new clients as well as providing ongoing services to existing ones. Water activities can be arranged at a site in Birmingham and Worcestershire if required.
